SAR 100 thousand max benefit limit ...Health Insurance: Tourist Insurance Policy shall include expenses for emergency conditions and medevac.

​​​​​​​Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) revealed that Tourist Insurance Policy reinforces health safety for tourists with a guaranteed basic insurance coverage throughout KSA against emergency health conditions through a max benefit limit of SAR 100 thousand. CCHI's Spokesperson Yasir Al-Maarik said that such policy shall include expenses and costs for diagnosis and treatment of emergency conditions, inpatient care, birth delivery care, premature babies, conditions resulting from traffic accidents, and dialysis for emergency and medevac conditions inside or outside KSA. Patient residency and daily accommodation shall include bed fees, nursing, visits, medical supervision as well as costs for emergency dental care including dental fillings, dental nerve care, abscess removal including treatment completion as well as antibiotics and painkillers with max limit of SAR 500. Moreover, the coverage will include emergent pregnancy and delivery expenses with max limit of SAR 5000, returning of remains of the deceased to their original country with max limit of SAR 10000 plus travel and escorting costs for a direct family member with max limit of SAR 5000. Al-Maarik clarified that the insurance coverage will be based on direct registry on insurer's accounts so that the insured tourists will not have to pay money for health care providers within the provider's network specified by the insurer. In case of that an insured tourist is obliged to receive health care from outside the said network, then the insurer shall indemnify the insured on the alternative basis according to the policy's terms, conditions, specifications and exclusions.
