The CCHI policy covers treatment of acute psychological cases with a maximum amount of 15 thousand riyals. Such cases are defined as a disturbance in thinking, mood, cognition, memory or (part of all) mental capacity. This deformity may be severe if it caused an imbalance in any two of the following functions:
- Judgment (in terms of good or bad, rather than right or wrong. This relates to how decisions are made).
- Human behavior.
- The ability to distinguish reality.
- Cope with the demands of normal life.
